Q. Where does your company name, By Small and Simple Things, come from?
A. Our company name comes from the scripture in Alma 36, verse 7: " Now ye may suppose that this is foolishness in me; but behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass; and small means in many instances doth confound the wise." 

We believe that through small things, great things can be brought to pass. Just as a small course correction while traveling can mean miles' worth of difference later, a temple pendant is a small thing that can help remind us of a better course to take, which will make a great difference to us and our loved ones years from now.
 
Q. How many temples do you have? What if I can't find my favorite temple
A. That answer is constantly changing as we steadily produce more varieties of temple pendants. If after reviewing our collection you do not see the temple you are looking for, we would love for you to contact us with your custom order request, either using our New Custom Design Request order form, or, our Contact Us page. We would love to get a new temple started for you. Keep in mind that a new temple pendant takes between 3 to 6 months to design, manufacture and ship to you, and fulfillment times will vary based on our current temple design schedule. Please contact us via our Contact Us page to find out which temples we are designing currently, and to let us know of your special request.
 
Q. What is your jewelry made of?
A. Our temple pendants and chains are made of solid .925 sterling silver, plated with platinum. We also take special requests for production in various other fine metals including gold, rose gold, platinum, etc. 

To make a special request for an alternate precious metal and to find out availability, please contact us BEFORE ORDERING / CHECKING OUT, through our Contact Us page and we will be happy to discuss with you.

Q. Which shipping carriers do you use?
A. We ship via USPS First Class mail, which takes approximately 3 to 5 business days within the continental U.S. depending on your shipping location. Customers may make special requests for quicker shipping via FedEx at their own cost. Please contact us through our Contact Us page for special shipping requests. 
 
Q. Do you ship outside the United States?
A. Yes, we do ship internationally! However there are extra charges related to international shipping which will be the customer's responsibility to cover, including tariffs, fees, taxes, etc. Please contact us through our Contact Us page BEFORE ORDERING and let us know which country you want us to ship to, and we can work together to determine the best way to ship your temple jewelry to you.

Q. Can I pay with any currency other than the U.S. dollar?
A. If you would like to use PayPal's currency conversion feature prior to purchasing your jewelry with us, then yes! For your convenience we accept PayPal in our Checkout! However to pay directly on our website, we are not set up to accept other currencies, only the US dollar at this time.

Q. When can I expect my order to arrive?
A. In-stock items will be shipped to you within 3 to 5 business days from the date of your confirmed order. When you complete your purchase at Checkout, you should receive an automatically generated email from us, thanking you and confirming your order. One to two days after that, you should get a second email from us with your USPS tracking number. To ask when an out-of-stock item will be available again, please contact us through our Contact Us page and we can let you know the expected availability.

Q. What about custom orders, how long do those take?
A. A custom-order pendant needs to be designed and produced from scratch. We are always happy to take new temple design requests! New custom designs take between 3 to 6 months to design, manufacture and ship to you, and fulfillment times will vary based on our current temple design schedule. Please contact us via our Contact Us page to find out which temples we are designing currently, and to let us know of your special request. Alternately, you can use our New Custom Design Request order form to order a new temple design. Please write in your desired temple in the box provided. We may be able to expedite your order from the manufacturer depending on their production schedule, and they will require an Expedite Fee from you to do so.  We look forward to designing your favorite temple!

Q. What if I need a refund?
A. We want you to be completely happy with your purchase of a temple pendant and will gladly do a one-time refund or exchange WITHIN 30 DAYS of your confirmed purchase. Let us know within 30 days of your purchase via our Contact Us page with your request and your shipping address, and we will send you out a return package, on our dime. :) Once we have received your return and confirmed the condition of the contents, we will issue you a refund.
 
Q. What if I want to exchange my temple pendant?
A. We want you to be completely happy with your purchase of a temple pendant and will gladly do a one-time refund or exchange within 30 days of your confirmed purchase. Let us know WITHIN 30 DAYS of your purchase via our Contact Us page with your request and your shipping address and we will send you out a return package, on our dime. :) Once we have received your return and confirmed the condition of the contents, you can let us know which temple pendant you'd prefer, and we can do the exchange.
 
Q. What does the symbol/design on the back of my temple pendant mean?
A. The design on the back of each pendant comes from the architecture or artwork on the outside of that pendant's featured temple. Often you will see this design as a theme running throughout the rest of that temple as well. Some of the architectural designs have symbolic meaning - for instance, the Salt Lake Temple's Sunstone - while others (as far as we know) are just beautiful artwork. Please check the product description of each temple pendant for more specific information.

We have selected the designs to be reflective of the uniqueness of each temple's architecture and area. We believe this makes each pendant a special reminder of each unique House of the Lord. We hope it brings your heart closer to "your" temple, as a reminder of the special experiences you've had there, or that you hope to have there someday, as the building of temples continues to increase throughout the earth.
